Featherlight Calendula & Chamomile Custard

Glass jar

A silky cream for face and body that glides on and leaves skin supple, with a soft sheen. Calendula and chamomile calm the skin, and vitamin B3 evens its tone over time. Scented with warm amber, lavender, and vanilla.

What's inside, and what it does

  • Vitamin B3 (niacinamide): evens tone and strengthens skin over time.
  • Calendula and chamomile: calm and comfort skin that is dry or easily upset.
  • Tamanu oil: a deep green oil pressed from the nut, long prized for skin that needs mending.
  • Rosehip oil: smooths and softens the look of marks and rough patches.
  • Squalane: sinks in fast and leaves skin supple, never oily.
  • Pro-vitamin B5 and aloe: pull water into the skin and hold it there.
  • Sea buckthorn: the bright orange berry oil behind the gold.

Amber Orchard Body Butter

Whipped, waterless

A rich whipped butter of mango, kokum, and East African shea, with no water and no fillers. It melts into the skin and leaves a glow that lasts. Tamanu, calendula, and rosehip care for skin that is dry, rough, or marked. Scented with ripe peach, cream, and warm amber.

What's inside, and what it does

  • Mango and kokum butters: rich and firm, they soften deeply without a heavy, greasy feel.
  • Nilotica shea: the creamiest shea there is, for lasting glow.
  • Tamanu oil: for skin that is rough, marked, or slow to recover.
  • Calendula: flowers steeped in oil to soothe dry, itchy skin.
  • Rosehip and jojoba: smooth the skin and sink in like its own oils.
  • Sea buckthorn: gives the butter its golden color.

The Maker

I'm Fabiola.

I am a maker whose work reaches past what the eye can see. I am a time traveler, a rootworker, and a conjurer, and Lumi Botanica is an extension of my offerings. Everything on this shelf comes from my own two hands.

I make natural products because I had to. I live with severe eczema and hives, which means most of what sits on a store shelf is off limits to me. Before all of this, I studied biology. I was one month away from entering medical school to become a cancer researcher and surgeon when I pivoted and accepted my work as a different kind of healer, a spiritual one.

That education taught me to respect the skin as the largest organ of the human body. Put that together with my own skin, and my focus became clear: natural products, in balance with the fragrances I love but have always been sensitive to.

I keep it small on purpose. Lumi Botanica is a micro apothecary. Right now that means two things: the Custard and the Body Butter. Both do real work for your skin, and both smell so good you won't want to finish the jar.

I make a few jars at a time. When a batch sells out, the shelf is replenished about once a week. So if you see what you want, don't wait on it.
